In 2006 Rowallan Olives began preparations for the establishment of the Limestone Coast’s first oak plantation suitable for producing truffles. We planted our first Oak Trees (Quercus ilex and Quercus Robur) during the winter of 2007. The trees have been predominantly inoculated to  produce Black Périgord Truffle (Tuber Melanosporum). 

Some of our 2008 plantings have been inoculated the White Truffle or Alba Truffle (Tuber magnatum).

Prior to our own trees bearing truffles Rowallan Olives is importing Black Périgord Truffle Juice direct from Cahors in France. We blend this with our own Extra Virgin Olive Oil to produce truffle infused olive oil.

Our 40 ml bottles can be purchased under Buy Online and suggested dishes can be found under recipes. Some of our bottles even make it back to France.
