Rowallan Olives welcomes “Under The Gum Tree” in Millicent and Beachport’s Family Grocer as our latest outlets from December 2006

Rowallan Olives is pleased to announce our extra virgin olive oil is now available at Wangolina Station (Mount Benson), the award winning Robe Butchers and the Penola Visitor Information Centre.

Wangolina Station, located between the townships of Kingston and Robe, is open daily  between the hours of 10am to 5pm, excluding Good Friday and Christmas Day for Cellar Door sales and a variety of products from the Limestone Coast.

The Penola Visitor Information Centre (John Riddoch Centre, 27 Arthur Street) is Open 7 days. Weekdays from 9am to 5pm; Saturday, Sunday and public holidays from 10am to 4pm. Closed Christmas Day.

Rowallan Olives attended TASTE! SA at the Central Market event in Adelaide on the 17th August 2006 and had a great day. Thanks to all those who stopped by to taste our 2006 harvest extra virgin olive oil and to Stan Thomson for the interview we did with him on Mount Gamier ABC’s morning program.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The 2006 harvest is in with new season extra virgin olive oil.

Rowallan Olives welcomes “Foods of South Australia” (Stall 55) at the Adelaide Central Market (Grote Street) as our latest outlet from July 2006. They specialize in traditional, regional and native foods of South Australia.

Rowallan Olives welcome the Koonara Wines and Homewares store in the main street of Penola, from7th June 2006, as our latest retail outlet.

Rowallan Olives welcome Fiddler and Webb’s gourmet section of the Mount Gambier store, from 23rd May 2006, as our latest retail outlet.

The Limestone Coast is the home of the World Heritage listed Naracoorte Caves Conservation Park.  The Bentwing Caves Café is the latest restaurant in the region to use Rowallan Olives extra virgin olive oil. For visitors to the Caves Conservation Park, Bentwing has a wide variety of meal options, from a sandwich through to a full sit down meal with a fine local products.

Rowallan Olives was at the Kelpie Festival in Casterton on the 11th June 2006.

Rowallan Olives had an excellent day at Limestone Coast Food Group Farmers’ Market at Mundulla on 4th June 2006.

Rowallan Olives attended “A Day in the Adelaide Plains” - the annual South Australian Olive Field Day held on 21 April 2006.  On 6 May we were at the ICCI 8th Annual South Australian Olive Field Day, Willunga.    

We participated at the Beachport Street Market on Saturday 15th April 2006 and the Penola LCFG market on the 21st May 2006.

Rowallan Olives had a great day at the Geltwood Craft Festival in Millicent at the beginning of April 2006. Now in its third year, the festival celebrates country living and a wide variety of crafts. During the festival there was over 250 quilts on display from balconies and buildings in Millicent’s main street.

Rowallan Olives participated at the Blue Lake Multicultural Festival held at Vansittart Park, Mount Gambier on Sunday 12 March 2006.

The Farmers Market was at the The Moot Yang Gunya Festival, Mundulla, Sunday 5 March 2006.  Rowallan Olives participated as part of the Limestone Coast Food Group and all the stall holders had a successful first market in Mundulla.

The Beachport Festival by the Sea took place on 24-25 February 2006. Rowallan Olives produce is heading to all points of the globe with visitors purchasing olive oil not only from Sydney and Melbourne but as far a field as Calgary in Canada. All the Limestone Coast Food Group stall holders had a great day.

In February 2006 we participated at the Limestone Coast Food Group Farmers’ Market on Tour at the new Limestone Coast Cheese Factory in Lucindale and at the Russet Ridge Winery at Naracoorte.

The Cape Jaffa Seafood and Wine Festival, held every year on the second Sunday in January, was a great day. Rowallan Olives was pleased to showcase our extra virgin olive oil at the January 2006 event.

Petty Sessions, Kingston’s new restaurant has been launched and is using our olive oil.  Rowallan Olives wishes them well.

We participated at the Limestone Coast Food Group Farmers’ Markets, in Penola and Mount Gambier in October and November 2005. Many thanks to all who stopped by to say hello and taste our olive oil.

In December 2004, as part of the Limestone Coast Food Group, Rowallan Olives participated in the Regional Food Trail at the Central Markets in Adelaide.  Food SA coordinated this event to promote regional food and create new markets for food producers. Some of the local producers who participated with us included Beckonbees Honey, Limestone Coast Trout and Mahalia Coffee.  We received great feedback regarding all our olive oil. 

 

Local events include the Cape Jaffa’s Seafood and Wine Festival (January), Naracoorte’s Taste of the Limestone Coast, Beachport’s Festival by the Sea, (February), Lucindale Field Days,  Mundulla’s Moot Yang Gunya Festival, Mount Gambier’s Blue Lake Multicultural Festival  (March) Millicent’s Geltwood Craft Festival (April) and  Robe’s Village Fair (November).
